the scope

The challenge for this contest was to design a new tribunal. The first idea was to create a central plaza among the buildings that symbolizes human rights, defense and democracy. We designed three new buildings with clear distinctions between public access and those for judges and employees, an auditorium with 600 seats and renovated the existing façade. The auditorium is an extended volume of the third building and provides shade on the plaza and gives it a dramatic and monumental ambiance.
